The Coopers Arms restaurant - carvery and a la carte

Our restaurant is known for its excellence not just throughout the local area, but across the country.

At the front of the property you will find two conservatories which overlook our 5 acre fishing lake and have extensive views of the open countryside. Our smaller conservatory can seat up to 40 people, and our larger conservatory, the Fairfax room, can seat 65. Both rooms also provide an ideal setting for either business meetings or private parties. On the ground floor of the building is our cosy Charles 1st room, often referred to as ‘The Library’ due to the large old fashioned book case being the main feature.

The menu has a huge variety of beautifully crafted dishes from a quick lunch time bite to exquisite a la carte dishes. Originally Famous for its outstanding traditional Carvery roast The Coopers Arms offers the finest, locally sourced produce around including our famous slow cooked tender Shardlow lamb shanks.

Our new open theatre kitchen has allowed for the addition of a grill section to our menu which includes the highest quality steaks cooked to your liking & served with your choice of sauce.  All of our Beef is reared in Derbyshire and the meat is dry-aged for a minimum or 28days for maximum flavour and texture.
